1. Who controls your data
Your data is controlled by MYFINESUK LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16502834), registered office at 61 Bridge Street, Kington, England, HR5 3DJ.
2. What we collect
When you create a MyFinesUK account, we store: your email address, a securely hashed version of your password (never the password itself), and, if you provide them, your full name and phone number.
When you save a vehicle, we store its registration number, and optionally a make/model and nickname you give it.
3. What we don't collect
MyFinesUK does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. We don't see or store your card details. Payments for paid plans are handled entirely by Stripe.
4. Why we collect it
Your account details let you sign in and keep your saved vehicles and plan across sessions. Your vehicle registrations are used only to look up and display charges and official payment links relevant to that vehicle.
5. Where it's stored
Account data is stored in a Postgres database hosted by Supabase. Sessions are managed by NextAuth using a signed session cookie. We don't sell or share your personal data with advertisers.
6. Third parties
Supabase hosts our database (infrastructure processor only, they don't use your data for their own purposes).
Stripe processes payment if and when you subscribe to a paid plan. We never receive or store your card number.
Resend delivers transactional emails on our behalf: password resets and account-deletion confirmations. They process your email address only to send that specific message.
Anthropic provides the AI model we use, if you choose to use it, to help draft a dispute/appeal letter. If you use that feature, the charge details and any free-text explanation you enter are sent to Anthropic to generate the letter; they are not used to train Anthropic's models. You can always use the built-in template instead, which never leaves our servers.
7. Your rights
You can view and update your saved details from within your account settings at any time. You can permanently delete your account and all saved vehicles yourself, at any time, from Settings → Delete Account. This takes effect immediately, with no need to contact us. To request a copy of your data instead, contact us via the Contact page.
8. Changes to this policy
We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes.
